Air Sahara Boeing disrupts schedules

Mumbai: The grounding of an Air Sahara Boeing 737 in Delhi on Thursday morning left the carrier’s flight schedules in a tizzy, with four cancellations and over 14 delays across its network. ‘‘A technical problem resulted in the grounding and there were delays up to two hours. However, the situation was brought under control before 6 pm,’’ said Air Sahara spokesperson. The nature of the snag ‘‘has not yet been determined.’’ On an average, one Air Sahara aircraft completes about eight-10 flights a day.
Passengers on the Delhi-Mumbai sector were accommodated on subsequent flights. Meanwhile, ‘‘passengers on the Mumbai-Goa route were accommodated on Jet Airways and SpiceJet flights,’’ the spokesperson added.
