IndiGo to start service from Nagpur soon

Mumbai/ Nagpur: Domestic airlines, it would seem, are making a beeline for starting services from Nagpur. After state-run Indian, which began its twice-a-week Nagpur-Thailand service recently, IndiGo Airlines is waiting in the wings to start services from Nagpur.
Sources said, the carrier has been allotted space in the terminal building and in the engineering section of Nagpur airport.
According to airport authorities, space has also been allocated for a ticketing office, two check-in counters, and an engineering office, while a decision on a space for a backup office is pending.
IndiGo's first aircraft will arrive in Nagpur by June end, and operations are expected to begin shortly after. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is also said to be considering IndiGo's request for two parking bays for overnight parking at the Nagpur airport.
