Air Sahara orders 10 Boeing 737-800

Seattle: Aircraft maker Boeing Co. confirmed Monday that 10 planes ordered in the first quarter were listed in an unidentified category on its web site.
The company said Indian airliner Air Sahara had ordered 10 next-generation 737-800 airplanes. The planes are valued at more than $700 million at list prices, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in mid-2009.
The aircraft will be modified to improve fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, increase range and reduce takeoff noise.
The New Delhi-based airline schedules about 134 domestic and international flights daily.
