Air Sahara to introduce 66 new flights; add 14 new destinations

New Delhi: After the fallout of the Rs 2,300 crore deal with Jet Airways, Air Sahara on Thursday announced its first attempt at an expansion announcing the introduction of 66 new flights besides adding 14 new destinations to its network--the largest expansion in the industry. It has also sought government's permission to fly to new international destinations Dhaka, Guangzhou (China), Male (Maldives) and Colombo.
With the introduction of new destinations, which will be spread over the next four months, the airline will be catering to almost 42 destinations, up from the present 28.
For major trunk routes, Air Sahara will increase the number of flights on the Delhi-Hyderabad and Delhi-Kolkata routes to retain its leadership in the two sectors.
