Inquiry into unauthorised landing by Pitt-Jolie's chopper

Jodhpur: Authorities have launched an inquiry into an unauthorised landing made by a helicopter used by Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie during their visit to this city.
The district administration today sought information from Jodhpur's air traffic control about the landing made a week ago by the helicopter, owned by Jagson Airlines, in Umed Bhawan Palace hotel without prior permission.
District Collector Naresh Pal Gangwar said according to media reports, the helicopter landed at Umed Bhawan, a royal residence turned into a heritage hotel, on the evening of October 20 under the pretext of making an emergency landing.
The district administration was not informed about it by either the airlines or by Jodhpur's ATC, which is controlled by the Indian Air Force.
Jagson Airlines did not take "necessary permission for landing the helicopter in a public or private property", Gangwar said.
ATC declined to comment, saying they had not granted permission to any chartered flight to land in Jodhpur.
