Sahara busy making up lost ground

New Delhi: The fiasco of its aborted merger effort with Jet Airways has been consigned to history. Air Sahara is busy making up lost ground.
The number of passengers carried by Air Sahara has gone up from 1.92 lakh in June (the month the merger with Jet Airways fell apart in June) to 2.65 lakh in October.
The Vijay Mallya promoted Kingfisher Airlines has also accounted for a major portion of the incremental traffic during these four months carrying as much as 29 per cent of additional passengers on a month-to-month basis.
The number of passengers carried by Jet Airways has oscillated from 7.83 lakhs in July to 7.41 lakhs in September before beginning to rise to reach a level of 8 lakhs in October.
Indian Airlines' passenger traffic has risen from 5.08 lakh in June to 5.63 lakh in October.
