Singapore Airlines plans to increase flights to India

Bangalore: Singapore Airlines yesterday said it is exploring the possibility of operating additional flights to Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore after the traffic rights are made available.
The airline would also start its sixth service from Bangalore and increase its capacity to the city by almost 20 per cent.
Once the additional traffic rights are available, it would look at increasing frequency to Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore depending on resources and capacity, he added.
The airlines is happy with its growth in India, Foo said, adding more Indians are now travelling to Singapore, New Zealand, Australia and Asian countries than before, when the traffic was largely to the US and Europe.
