MIAL inaugurates India the rapid exit taxiway at CSIA

As part of its effort to upgrade the runway system at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Limited (MIAL) today inaugurated the new Rapid Exit Taxiway called India. The first three aircrafts to use the new rapid exit taxiway received a ceremonial shower welcome from MIAL, today.The rapid exit taxiway India is located at a distance of 2200 meters from the threshold (beginning of the runway) and will enable landing aircrafts to exit the runways rapidly, thus reducing the runway occupancy and facilitating quick surface movement of the aircraft. This will result in saving approximately two minutes of time per aircraft movement.
