Air crash: Association urges Air India for memorial

Mangalore: Mangalore Air Crash Victims' Families Association has resolved to urge Air India management to expedite the construction of a community hall, memorial and a library at Malavooru Gram Panchayat.
Commemorating the second anniversary of the horrific crash of Air India (AI) Boeing IX 812, which resulted in the death of 158 persons including six crew members, the members on Tuesday also resolved to urge the Air India to build a compound wall where the bodies, which remained unidentified even after DNA profiling, were buried in unmarked graves near Tannir Bhavi.
