Nagpur: In a rally organized by the Airports Authority Employee Union (AAEU), SR Santhanam, all India president of the union, said it was to showcase their unity. Santhanam was in the city to address a meeting ahead of January 29 union elections.
The rally was organized from the remote receiver station on Wardha Road to the main airport complex. "We have been elected by the employees and emerged victorious during the last 15 years. We are very confident about our victory this year too," he said. The national elections decide which union will represent Airports Authority of India (AAI) employees with the management. Western Region regional secretary of AAEU AS Phanepure was also present.
After the rally, Santhanam and Phanepure also addressed the employees in a meeting.
