Guwahati: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) recently provided disaster management tips to the officials and residents living in the vicinity of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport, which falls in the earthquake prone Seismic Zone V.
The NDRF, as part of their community awareness programme, organized a one-day exhibition on 'Disaster Response Equipment' at Airport Sports Club on the LGBI Airport premises in Guwahati during Spring Mela-2013.
Considering the gravity of the possible consequence if a real disaster strikes the only international airport of the northeast, the first battalion of the NDRF took the initiative to educate the people.
