A Jet Airways and a SpiceJet flight were diverted to Vadodara and Ahmedabad respectively on Wednesday as their designated runway was occupied by an Air India flight being inspected after a bird hit.
ATC sources said that the aircraft were diverted as both were running short of fuel.
According to airport sources, the Air India flight - scheduled to land before Jet Airways and SpiceJet flights - had reported a bird hit while landing on runway 09/27.
