Hubballi bound aircraft makes emergency landing at KIA

Bengaluru: An Air Pegasus aircraft bound for Hubballi made an emergency landing, due to technical issues, on Thursday evening. According to officials at Kempegowda International Airport, flight OP 111 R took off 3.50pm from Bengaluru but returned within 20-25 minutes of the takeoff, citing technical snags.

One of the passengers told the Times of India on the condition of anonymity that the captain announced about the emergency landing citing technical issues. "We were flying around 10,000 feet when the announcement came," he said.

He said it was a scary experience as all the passengers panicked till they got out safely.

"The aircraft landed safely after few wobbles but in the end the authorities and airlines managed the situation well. We could see the preparations for emergency landing and the aircraft was escorted through the tarmac by fire tenders with rescue vehicles ready by the side." the passenger said.
