IAF's MI-17 helicopter makes emergency landing in Mumbai

Mumbai: An MI-17 transport helicopter of the Indian Air Force (IAF) had to make precautionary landing in Mumbai on Wednesday. According to reports, pilots detected some technical fault with the chopper after which they decided to land at Bandra Kurla Complex, situated in the heart of city.
There was no casualty or any damage to the helicopter during the emergency landing. IAF official are reaching the spot for further investigation. A full inspection will be done before the chopper is cleared for flying once again.
The Russia-made MI-17 is a heavy lift helicopter, which were used extensively by the IAF in relief and rescue missions during Uttarakhand floods in 2013.
