Chennai: Customs official seized 2.5kg ganja which was found abandoned at the international terminal of Chennai airport on Wednesday.
A 38-year-old woman from Andhra Pradesh who was waiting to board a flight to Kuwait was detained in this connection after a CCTV grab showed her abandoning the package before reaching security check.
Airport officials who found the package inspected it and found that it contained contraband and the checked CCTV footage.
