Agartala: A Border Security Force (BSF) head constable was detained at Agartala airport on Friday after a live cartridge was found in his luggage. The case was handed over to police.
Head constable Sudhir Singh was to travel in a flight to Kolkata for onward journey to his home in Bihar. The cartridge was found in the bag during scanning.
Police said Mr. Singh was serving in the 51 battalion of the BSF with its headquarters in Bagafa in south Tripura. The bullet seized was of a self-loading rifle.
