Zambian national held at IGIA in Delhi with Rs 1.4cr drugs

A Zambian national has been held at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi for allegedly attempting to smuggle out narcotic drugs worth Rs 1.4 crore. Officials said the incident occurred on Friday when CISF sleuths detected suspicious movements of a flier identified as Zambian Mwenda Paul, who arrived at the airport terminal to board a flight to Addis Ababa. They said Paul was chosen for detailed frisking after which about 35kgs of the banned drug was recovered from his baggage, cleverly hidden in thigh pads, a cricketing gear.
