Air India to resume services to Surat from 2nd June

New Delhi: State-run Air India will run daily services from here to Surat from June 2, almost five months after it had curtailed operations to the diamond city due to paucity of aircraft.

The airline currently operates five times a week with its regional jet, CRJ-700.

The decision to enhance connectivity was driven by growing air travel demand on the route, the Air India said.

The flight that operated five days a week now -- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday -- will also operate on Thursday and Sunday, starting June 2, Air India said in a statement.
