Amritsar: The Central Industrial Security Force arrested two persons for allegedly stealing diesel from the power house of Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji International Airport here last evening.
They were later handed over to the police for further investigations. The CISF also recovered 120 litres of fuel (three cans) from their possession. Those arrested were identified as Ravinder Singh, son of Joginder Singh, and Kuldeep Singh, son of Lalli, both residents of Rajasansi here.
The airport police have registered a case under Sections 380 and 411, IPC, against them. It has also impounded a luxury car from their possession that was used for stealing the fuel. Inspector Sushil Kumar in his complaint to the police stated that the accused were arrested when they were coming by the car after stealing three cans of diesel. They could not give satisfactory answers to the queries of the CISF.
