Belagavi: Government has planned to name the Sambra Airport of Belagavi after former Prime Minister Rajeev Gandhi.
Former minister Satish Jarkiholi declared it here on Saturday, on launching of the works under Smart City project on the eve of completing one year to the announcement of project by the central government.
He said Congress government has decided to name the Sambra Airport after Rajeev Gandhi and district administration has decided to name the ongoing Kanabargi Double Road after chief minister Siddaramaiah.
