Chief Minister keen on revival of air connectivity

Puducherry: Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy on Thursday said his government has been making consistent efforts to revive air-services from Puducherry airport and pointed out that he has met Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju recently in this regard.
He was addressing reporters after distributing regularisation orders to vocational instructors in Government Higher Secondary Schools at his chamber.
On Saturday, the Union Government is going to implement the new aviation regional connectivity scheme with a fare of Rs. 2,500 for hour-long flights operating from regional airports.
Health and Tourism Minster Malladi Krishna Rao and Chief Secretary Manoj Parida would participate in the programme.
