Mid-air technical glitch forces Madurai bound flight to return to Chennai Airport

Chennai: The Madurai Bound Air Carnival flight had to be diverted to Chennai Airport mid-air due to technical glitch, according to airport sources.

The flight which departed at 8.45 to Madurai had to be diverted back immediately due to a air pressure leak, said Airport director Deepak Shastri.

The flight was diverted back and it landed at Chennai Airport around 9.39. It had 39 passengers, including the crew members. Currently, the aircraft is still grounded at Chennai Airport.

Air Carnival is an Indian regional airline based at Coimbatore International Airport with a hub at Chennai International Airport.
