An unclaimed baggage sparked bomb scarce at Amritsar's Sri Guru Ramdas International airport on Thursday morning.
According to reports, there was chaos after an unclaimed baggage was recovered from Dubai-Amritsar flight upon landing here at around 8.30 am. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has taken the baggage in a protected area and begun investigations. Bomb disposal squad was also summoned.
Sources told TOI that initial investigations revealed that the said baggage belonged to an Indonesian Muslim women who didn't board the plane after checking in at Dubai airport. The women is also held by security officials at Dubai airport for questioning, informed sources in the intelligence wing.
