Raipur: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) will be providing space to private parties for opening up branded Electronics, Mobile and Pearl shops in the new integrated terminal building at the Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur, officials informed.
Notably, in the month of June this year, Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand had also asked State's Civil Aviation officials to obtain a report from all the State's tour operators and send it to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to seek upgradation of the Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur as a ‘Customs Airport’
The move would help in getting Charter aircraft services started from the airport, he had stated.
