Air India flight AI 963 from Kochi to Jeddah grounded at Kochi airport due to technical glitch

Kochi: Air India’s flight AI 963 going from Kochi to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia was on Saturday grounded at Kochi International Airport, due to some technical glitch. The passengers aboard the flight were deplaned and were made to stay at hotels, with the Airlines saying that they have made alternate arrangements for them. More details about what caused the glitch and how long it will take the airlines to fix it and send the flight on its way, is awaited. Technical glitches are unsurprising to regular fliers, as they have to face them fairly regularly. Technical glitches continue to be the number one cause for flight delays.
Air India’s official Twitter on Saturday night tweeted the hold up, saying, “#AIUpdate: #AI963 COK-JED flt grounded due to operational reasons.Pax are being transferred to hotel.Alternative arrangements are being made.”
