Air India to operate B'luru flights four days a week

Hubballi: Air India has announced operations of its Hubballi-Bengaluru flights four days a week.
Starting September 1, the flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the flights will arrive at 5.05 pm and depart at 5.25pm. On Tuesday, the flights will arrive at 5.20pm and depart at 5.45pm, Manjunath, manager, Air India, Hubballi, told TOI.
Manjunath said that the decision was taken to meet increasing demand. He said that 90% of seats are occupied and if everything goes as per the plan, Air India may start operating daily flights from Hubballi airport in the days to come. Introduced a few days back, Air India is the only airlines in the Hubballi-Bengaluru route, operating thrice a week - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There was no operator in the route after Air Pegasus suspended its services. After the suspension of Air Pegasus services, the launch of Air India operation in the route came as relief for frequent travelers to the state capital.
