Kingfisher auction fails again; no bidder turns up

The re-auction of Kingfisher House at Vile Parle on August 4 has failed even after the reduction of the reserve price, with not a single bidder showing up. The SBICAP Trustee which is conducting this auction will now auction the seaside villa in Goa.
"There were no bids for Kingfisher House. Even this [reserve price] Rs 135 crore was high for bidders," an official said.
Bankers have reduced the price from Rs 150 crore to Rs 135 crore after the former price's failure in March. Officials from the consortium of 17 banks said that they might have to further lower the current reserve price. The banks have been trying to sell this property along with some immovable property as part of their efforts to recover dues, totaling over Rs 9,000 crore from Kingfisher Airlines.
