Man disguised as cop sreals casr from airport parking lot

Pune: A man in police uniform allegedly drove away a Swift Dzire from the Pune airport on September 16, after telling the driver that he is taking it for a test drive.

Bhushan Pundalik Shendre (50) of Aurangabad has filed the complaint in Vimantal police station. The car belongs to Daljeet Singh Anand (27), who is also from Aurangabad.

According to the FIR, Shendre who works as a driver, parked the car at parking no. 3 when a man in traffic police uniform came on a Splendor. After parking his vehicle, he started questioning Shendre about the car's performance and subsequently asked for a test drive. Shendre agreed and gave him the keys. When the accused took the car away from the parking lot, Shendre made an attempt to pursue it, only to fail.

Car's owner Daljeet Singh Anand is a contractor who is involved in painting the airport's terminal building. He has been on the job for the past six years.
