Trichy passengers held up for 12 hrs as flight develops snag

One hundred and twenty five passengers were stranded for more than 12 hours in Trichy in the early hours of Monday after an Air India Express flight developed a snag. The Singapore-bound passengers had to wait at the Trichy International Airport for many hours as the flight did not arrive at the scheduled time. Subsequently, they were accommodated in a private hotel in the city.
According to sources from the Trichy airport, the passengers were waiting to board the flight after completing customs and immigration procedures.
