Lohegaon airport to start 'meet and greet' service

Pune: The Lohegaon airport will soon roll out a 'Meet and Greet' service in an effort to provide assistance in check-ins and checkouts.
Under the service, passengers will be provided assistance from the moment they enter the airport premises.
"The facility is set to start this month with an aim to help and assist passengers at the airport. The Pune airport is witnessing increased passenger traffic every year and passenger facilities will see improvement in time to come. This project is one such facility. We will fix an independent agency for the same. Their staff will help passengers," airport director Ajay Kumar explained.
Pune airport presently witnesses a total of 140 aircraft on a daily basis.
Further, passengers who disembark from their flights and require assistance will also be provided with the same. "Passengers will be helped right from baggage collection until they find a transport to go to their destinations. The cap on the amount fixed by the airport for these services is Rs 300. We are sure that this service will enhance passenger satisfaction," Kumar added.
