Nashik Inc invites airline operators to start services

Nashik: The Nashik INC has assured airline operators "a good business" and has invited them to commence air service from the north Maharashtra city.
The industries have also urged airline operators such as Air India and Spice Jet to visit the city and hold a meeting with the industrialists sometime in the second week of October in the presence of the principal secretary of the state civil aviation, Sham Lal Goel.
A delegation of industries, led by the Nashik Industries & Manufacturers' Association (Nima) and local MP Hemant Godse, met Goel and other airline operators recently and held a meeting in Mumbai. The delegation shared with Goel and the airline operators the data of a survey conducted on Nashik's air service potentials.
On Wednesday, Godse told TOI, "There have been 14-15 flights a day from Mumbai to Delhi and once via Aurangabad. We urged Goel to urge the airline operators to commence at least one flight via Nashik. We also requested them to start flights for Bengaluru and Delhi considering the potential here. The airline operators, along with Goel, are expected to visit Nashik shortly."
