Surat: Passengers travelling from Delhi to Surat took Air India (AI) officials to task after they were made to run from one gate to another for boarding Airbus on Friday evening.
The passengers, who checked in at Delhi airport, were guided to gate 30-B for boarding Airbus to Surat. Since the checking starts early, the passengers already reached the departure gate and waited for their turn.
Meanwhile, announcement was made and the passengers were asked to reach immediately at gate 42-C, which was quite far from 30-B.
All the passengers had to walk a long distance to reach this gate.
If this was not enough, according to some passengers, the AI staff on the counter made them to sit for more than 20 minutes. After the gates were opened, the passengers boarded the airport bus which circled for more than 15 minutes in the premises itself.
