Air passengers and travel agents here expressed disappointment over the non-inclusion of the low cost carrier, Air Carnival, in the winter schedule of flight services from the Trichy International Airport. The Coimbatore-based airline was slated to operate daily flights in the Trichy-Chennai route from October 2016.
As per the schedule, an Air Carnival flight was slated to arrive in Trichy at 9.20am and take off at 9.45am after a 25-minute halt. It was also expected that the operators would extend the service to Mumbai and Bangalore from Trichy.
However, as per the winter schedule, Jet Airways will be the only domestic carrier connecting Trichy with Chennai -- with three daily services.
