Air India to resume Boeing 777 services on its New Delhi-London route

National carrier has resumed Boeing 777 services on its London’s route from New Delhi with the replacement of its Dreamliner B787-8 with B777-200 LR aircraft for one of its flights as part of the winter schedule operations. Earlier also, Air India had been operating a B777 on the Delhi-London route. However, in the 2013 summers, it changed the aircraft to Dreamliner.

The resumption of B777 services are effective from October 30, sources said. Winter schedule for domestic airlines this year began from October 30 and would last up to the last week of March next year. The B777 aircraft will be operating on Air India’s flight AI-111/112 service, sources said.

The change of aircraft has, however, reduced the capacity on the flight by 18 seats. This Boeing 787-8 aircraft, which was in operations till the summers had a total of 256 seats in a two-class configuration with 18 seats in business class and the rest 238 in economy.
