GNIDA invites EOI for putting into place Heliport

With all clearances in place, the heliport project in Greater Noida is all set to take off. The development of the heliport will support tourism, medical, security and emergency services. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has invited an Expression of Interest (EOI) last month from interested companies to design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) the proposed project at Greater Noida. Applications from interested bidders have been invited till November 21. The appointed company will be hired for a period of 30 years, officials said.
The proposed heliport worth Rs 50 crore will be constructed across a 22-acre open area falling in Safipur village, which is located along the Noida-Greater Noida expressway near the Gautam Budh University. An additional 15 acre of land has also been reserved for future expansion of the aviation project. The Detailed Project Report of the heliport is already in place. Once work on the project commences, the project will be in place two years after construction starts.
