Delhi airport resumes operations after brief suspension due to fog

Flight operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi have been resumed after being temporarily suspended early Thursday morning due to dense fog. The fog had brought visibility to below 50 metres.
“The low visibility procedure was implemented at 3 am. ATC is clearing arrivals and departures as per the fog situation,” the official said. He said four aircraft arriving at Delhi airport from different destination were diverted to other airports as they could not land in Delhi.
Flight operations were affected at the Delhi and Lucknow airports on Wednesday morning as well. 18 flights and 50 trains were delayed or rescheduled, while 13 flights were diverted from Delhi’s IGI airport.
