Fog in Delhi chokes Goa airport with delays

Poor visibility and dense fog at Indira Gandhi International airport, Delhi, led to cascading flight delays in Goa. According to airport officials, over six flights were delayed at the Goa International Airport due to delays in Delhi.
With the winters setting in, fog has hampered arrival and departure operations at the Delhi airport for three days in a row. Given that aircrafts are rotated to ply across the country, there has been a ripple effect in flight operations in Goa too.
Stranded passengers complained about the lack of outlets offering refreshments at the airport. Already suffering due to a paucity of cash, passengers found to their dismay that the sole restaurant at the airport does not accept credit or debit card payments.
