Parking charges for cars at the domestic and international airports are to undergo an increase of Rs 20 to Rs 30 from Thursday . The charges vary depending on the length of time for which a vehicle is parked and the category of parking lot chosen.
Motorists and tourist bus owner associations expressed anger over the development, saying the charges were already exorbitant. Airport sources said the increase was justified as the parking charge was being reviewed after "a long gap of two years" as a result of inflation.
