The Machiavellian practice of two big airlines has hurt aviation sector hard in the city. These airlines shifted their bigger aircraft operated on Indore Delhi-Indore and Indore Mumbai-Indore sectors to some other influenced sectors. Despite increasing demand for more seats on these two sectors, the airlines drastically reduced seats (470 and 46 seats on these two sectors) by operating smaller aircraft.
Air traffic has been increasing by 20% every year in the city as it is identified as one of most promising emerging Tire-II cities of the country. But, the attitude of airlines is hurting growth of air traffic here. Sources told this correspondent that two airlines including Jet Airways were responsible for this act.
