Man alleges wife dies on flight, cops launch probe

A man on Wednesday alleged his wife died on a Mumbai-Varanasi flight. The police have sent the body for postmortem.
Phoolpur police said whether the woman died on board or on ground after the flight landed, is a matter of investigation.
According to reports, Rajesh Yadav and his wife Sangeeta, 25, of Bariyasanpur village in Chiraigaon area live in Mumbai. Sangeeta delivered a baby on December 26. On Wednesday morning, they boarded Spicejet flight SG704 to reach Varanasi. "The flight took off at 7.50 am and after an hour Sangeeta's health started deteriorating. When I sought help from crew members, they suggested her to change sitting posture saying it would giver her relief. But when her condition further deteriorated, she was given glucose, " he claimed.
Rajesh alleged that by the time time the flight landed at LBS International Airport at Babatpur in Varanasi, Sangeeta had died.
