Aviation company paid salary of Uddhav's driver: Anjali Damania

Mumbai: Social activist Anjali Damania has alleged that the salaries of Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray's driver and six other persons working at Thackeray's Bandra East residence Matoshree were paid by now defunct airlines Cambata Aviation.

In a statement issued by Damania, she has alleged that not only seven persons working at Matoshree, but also 15 other Shiva Sainiks (party workers) were paid by Cambata Aviation. Besides Shiv Sena, two workers of Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and Congress MLA Nitesh Rane's union Samarth Kamagar Sanghtna were also paid by the aviation company, without these persons actually working for the company.

The Cambata Aviation was a ground operations handling company at Mumbai International Airport and company closed operations in August last year. However, salaries of the 2,100 employees of Cambata Aviation have not paid for more than year now.
