Project DISHA brings changes at Coimbatore airport

Coimbatore: Even amidst issues related to land acquisition, Coimbatore International Airport has witnessed changes under project DISHA (Driving Improvements in Service and Hospitality at Airports), an initiative by Airports Authority of India (AAI).

According to AAI officials, project DISHA team could identify some of the key issues at the Coimbatore airport and bring in changes.

They were delay taken in the time for check-in during peak hours, time taken for security check, lack of cleanliness of comfort stations, and limited dining options in security hold area.

AAI officials said that the analysis enabled project DISHA team to focus on the issues and improve them.
According to AAI officials, the concerted efforts through project DISHA could bring in positive results in check-in time, security check, space layout at the airport, improvement of seating arrangements near boarding gates, and creation of additional space for additional dining in security hold area.
