Stamping of cabin baggage tags happening despite govt order

New Delhi: Defying Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BcAS) order issued yesterday, the CISF, which guards all key airports in the country, is stamping cabin baggage tags at Delhi and Mumbai airports in the country causing inconvenience to passengers.

BCAS, the aviation security wing of the government, had announced yesterday that passengers flying out of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Cochin would not have to tag their cabin baggage, as the provision of stamping of baggage tags has been removed at these airports.

"Heavy congestion at BOM prior to security this morning. Tag stamping still on. Pax (passengers) reminded not to carry liquids >100ml in cabin baggage," Vistara Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer said on Twitter.
