Bengaluru: On the last day of the biennial aerospace expo Aero India, many visitors parked their vehicles on the flyovers along Bellary Road in the city and watched the air show here, as the traffic snarls stretched for more than five kilometres along the road.

Bumper to bumper traffic jams were witnessed in several locations along the busy Bellary Road, which also connects to Kempegowda International Airport Ltd, at Devanahalli. Slow moving traffic was witnessed along Hebbal flyover, Yelahanka New Town area, Jakkur and others.

Residents trying to connect to Bellary Road, from arterial roads in North Bengaluru were seen facing problems due to the traffic pile up.

Bengaluru Traffic Police has deputed personnel along the stretch of Bellary Road from Hebbal to Yelahanka Air Force Station, to divert and manage traffic.

Traffic in the road had peaked by 8.30 AM, due to the flow of visitors to Aero Expo. Around 12 noon, many visitors assuming that they could not reach air show on time parked their vehicles on the roadsides of the flyover and were seen watching the performances of aircraft over Yelahanka Air Force Station.
