A fire broke out in the outer area of the Aviation Research Centre (ARC) of Charbatia Air base located about 10 kms from Cuttack this afternoon. Chief Fire Officer S Sethi said the fire broke out in the bushes.
As many as five fire tenders three from Odisha Fire Service and two from the ARC were pressed into service to extinguish the blaze and the fire was brought under control. Mr Sethi said since the fire broke out in the outer area it posed no threat to the air base.
