For generations, women were taught to define their boundaries, stay inside the house, forget about their dreams and capabilities and follow the rules set by the patriarchal society.
But women these days are doing everything but follow those bigoted notions.
Mumbai-based Sneha Sharma is ruling two worlds that are highly governed by men- car racing and air pilot. The 25-year-old is completely unaffected by the fact that she's a rarity in the world she's dealing in.
Her father was in the merchant navy and she has sailed extensively with him. It was then when she realised her love for machines.
Sneha's first break came when she was invited to participate in the National Karting Championship. From there, her career skyrocketed. She even participated in the prestigious race at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.
“The constant struggle to balance equally consuming passions is worth it,” she said, as reported by DNA.
At the age of 17, she decided to take up flying to fund her passion and the age of 20 she joined Indigo Airlines. Since then, all her time is divided between her life as a pilot and her passion as a racecar driver.
