Police investigating terror call to Air India call centre

Mumbai: The Shrinagar police in Thane booked an unidentified person for allegedly calling the Air India helpline number on Saturday. The caller claimed to be from Bangkok and said that he will be flying a helicopter from Pakistan to crash land in a residential area.
The call to a toll free number of Air India, which was received by a call centre employee in Thane, led to panic. The manager reported the incident to the police.

According to the police, the caller identified himself as Parvez from Bangkok and informed the caller that he will be going to Tokyo and then to Pakistan. He will fly a helicopter and crash land it in residential and commercial areas.
