Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will chair a meeting with officials of the Maharashtra Airport Development Company Limited (MADC) and Pune district administration in Mumbai on Saturday to discuss the issue of the proposed new airport.
Vishwas Patil, chairman of MADC, said the compensation package for landowners of villages in Purandar taluka will also be discussed .
"Many issues in connection with the proposed Pune airport will be discussed at the meeting and decisions, including that of finalisation of compensation package, are expected to be taken. MADC had earlier said that a final meeting on the project details was awaited and it will happen this month. We were waiting for the CM's nod," the senior official said.
