Nashik: Night landing and parking facility for air service companies at the Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), Ozar airport, will be available only if they provide passenger flights the next morning.
Several air service companies have shown an interest in night landing at the airport. Jet Airways is already in the process of preparing a business model for the same.
"Parking is not a major business. But, if it facilitates the passengers then we will support it. Since the last two months, there has been a diversion of flights from Jet Airways but night parking has still not been allowed," said HAL, Ozar chief executive officer Daljeet Singh.
The airport is open for emergencies or landing problems, or if an aircraft does not get a slot to park in Mumbai and is running short of fuel. But, the company would be required to inform the HAL authorities beforehand.
