New Delhi: In a close shave for 65 people on board a Jet Airways ATR, the turboprop's nose wheel collapsed soon after it landed at IGI Airport from Dehradun on Wednesday afternoon. Luckily for everyone on board, the plane stopped safely after drifting to one side of the runway since the nose wheel had turned. The runway had to remain closed for over an hour till the plane was removed from it.
The incident took place at around 4:45 pm when flight 9W 2882 landed on runway 29 before suffering nose-wheel collapse. The ATR-72 (VT-JCQ) was carrying 60 passengers and five crew members. The passengers were safely deplaned.
